Decision Made

I have my "niche"

I woke up with a sense of purpose and reassurance in a way that I haven't had before. A decision has been made for me.

I say this, because it’s like a light has been shed on my path which I know now… I must walk.

I praise God for blessing me with having this burden lifted.

When I became a travel advisor, I was asked what I wanted my "niche" to be. My initial reaction was, "Umm, why do I have to decide an area of focus?", I wondered. At that time, I’d chosen to not decide and instead wanted to cast a VERY large net to help as many people as I could. This has all changed. To be clear, I will absolutely help everyone and anyone with ANY vacation dream they have, without limitation. I am here for that, and absolutely can and will get that done for you. HOWEVER, what I have been called to do is be an expert and the #1 resource for faith-based travel. Don't get me wrong, whenever you want to go and visit the Mouse or if you want to honeymoon/celebrate an anniversary at an all-inclusive or absolutely anything else, I have all the tools, trainings, and certifications to get you on your trip of a lifetime. After all, you’ve earned your time off, you need to use it. I am always here to assist you with making those exciting plans.

One question I have been personally struggling with is, "How is being a travel agent/advisor helping spread God's message?" I know I am providing a service, but was it enough? I didn't feel it was. I felt selfish. I felt like something was missing.

As some of you may know, Steven Johnson and I are embarking on a Holy Land cruise in just a few weeks. It is going to be just me and Steve, and also, of course, thousands of strangers. As excited as we are to share this experience together, we imagine how much greater it would be to come home and talk about it with others, who understood what we did, where we’d been, the places we’d experienced… and the feelings it gave us.

As a flight attendant back in the 1990's, I did go to Rome. I thought the only way to get there was to have a job that took me there, and it did....for 8 hours during the middle of the night. But I can tell you, in those few hours, I saw very little. However, the world became so different for me from that point forward. THAT feeling, THIS, is what I want others to feel. The feeling of a switch being turned on. There might be a misconception that faith-based trips only take travelers to Israel. Nothing could be further from the truth. Also, many people might believe trips of this kind are astronomically expensive… also not true. Faith-based travel can be tailored and customized to fit your needs and budget (overseas or domestic). If you are part of a church or ministry team that has talked about walking in the steps of Jesus (literally), or having YOUR PASTOR baptizing YOU in the Jordan River, those things ARE POSSIBLE. If you want to stay stateside and have fellowship with your congregation, this is possible too. I have a host of exciting faith-based travel information and opportunities and would love to share all of this with those interested in exploring these incredible destinations… or for any of you excited to bring this opportunity to your church!

Send me a message or add a comment below. I would be delighted to meet with church/ministry leaders at their convenience.

The world is a difficult place and if each of us can do something that might change someone's life for the better, we should do it.

Thank you for reading this the whole way through and for all of your prayers on my behalf. You’re in my prayers too! God bless you
